Show Couple Honored On Golden Date The children of George and Thora Proctor honored their parents on the occasion of their 50th wedding wed-ding anniversary at an open house held Sunday in the Panguitch Middle Mid-dle School in Panguitch. The couple was married June 13, icm in Panguitch, later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. They have lived in Panguitch most of their married lives. Mr. Proctor was born i n pangiiitch to Myron and Martha Proctor. He attended school there and served in the Navy during World War II. Mrs. Proctor was born in Cir-cleville Cir-cleville to Joseph and Nora Pearson. Pear-son. She attended Piute High School. ; f . ; I ' y ; , f W f -v i - - j : ! N V I -r i 1 Mr. and Mrs. Proctor The Proctor's built and managed the "Proctor Motel" in Panguitch for some 30 years. During this same time, Mr. Proctor was also a government trapper. Mr. Proctor has always been interested in-terested in mining and trapping. He was a member of the Garfield County Sheriffs Posse retiring with five stars. Mrs. Proctor has enjoyed many handicrafts such as quilting and sewing. She is a member of the "Old Time Rhythm Band". She has also devoted much of 20 years caring for her mother, Nora Pearson, Pear-son, who died last year at the age of lOo. Both are members of the "Color Country Gem and Mineral Club". The Proctor's have four children: Connie Whiting, Clearfield; Colleen Barlow, West Jordan; Ron Proctor, Cedar City; Jim Proctor, Orcm. They have 30 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. |
