Show Mr. and Mrs. Leone Wooley Wooleys Will Note Golden Wedding Dale The children, grandchildren and geat grandchildren of Leone and Veota (Sawyer) Wooley will honor sm on their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 3 until 5 w.m. at the Orem LDS chapel, 80 West 900 South. The couple married Feb. 16, 1935 at Panguitch, later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. Mr. Wooley was born to Edward and Clara (Deuel) Wooley on July 8, 1915, at Escalante where he attended school and spent his youth helping with the family farm. After moving to Orem, he helped with the construction of Geneva Steel. He worked for Hi-Land Dairy for 25 years, retiring in 1977. He enjoys fishing, hunting, art work and wood work. His wife was born Nov. 16, 1917 at Panguitch to Thomas and Beryl Workman Sawyer. She attended school in Hatch and Panguitch. She enjoys handwork, quilting and Brigham Young University basketball. Hie couple lived in southern Utah for the first years of their marriage, moving to Orem in 1942 where they built the home in which they still reside. They are parents of three children: Mi's. Jack (Marlene) Spencer, American Fork; Gale Wooley and Mrs. Lee (Rosemary) Porter, both Orem. They have ll grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Friends and relatives are r.vited to attend the open house but the family has requested no gifts, please, i |
