Show Jury Aquits Hansen On DUI Charges Boulder resident Paul J. Hansen, 38, was acquitted on one charge, convicted on another and had a third charge dropped in the Panguitch court of Judge Wayne Holman, Jan. 31. Hansen was arrested Nov. 4 in Panguitch by Police Chief Martin Nay. He was charged with having an open container in his vehicle, a faulty tail light (the reason for the stop), and driving under the influence. Hansen pleaded not guilty to all three charges and bail was set at $900 by Judge Holman. On Jan. 31, Hansen appeared before Judge Holman and a jury in Panguitch. The Jury found Hansen not guilty on the DUI charge but convicted him on the open container charge for which he was fined $50. The faulty tail light citation was dropped when Hansen provided proof of repair to the court. |
