Show Woman Returns to Area To Head Family Life Services New Family Life Services Coordinator Joan Norton has come home, of The daughter of former Panguitch residents Mr. and Mrs. McLaine (Dorothy) Norton, she was born in Panguitch when her mother who had moved to Price decided that her daughter would be born here. She was reared in Price and Brigham City. She came back to Panguitch frpm Brigham City and later attended -Weber College until she went-on a mission for the LDS Church to Taiwan for 18 months. She said she speaks Mandarin Chinese and loved the Formosan people, whom she found to be far more outgoing than the mainland people. She said they seemed to have a lot more drive, and are a very progressive people. Norton said that after her mission was over, she went back to. Weber and graduated with a degree in sociology, During her college career and after she graduated, she found that she had spent a total of over six years working for a merchandising firm and said to herself, "there's got to be something better than this." Norton, a niece of Emil Norton said she is extremely satisfied with her position here. Norton said that there are positions open in Panguitch for Day Care Providers.
