Show Garfield Students Return to Classes Students in Garfield County will be back in school on Monday, Aug. 26. But, students won't have to wait long before their first holiday, which is scheduled for Labor Day, Sept. 2. Residents are reminded to use caution in traffic, as youngsters, some for the first time, begin the ( school year. Flashing red lights on a .school bus require motorists to stop, regardless of the direction the vehicle is travelling. Drivers are reminded that children are often unpredictable. The second school holiday is set for Oct. 10 and 11 as the annual Utah Education Association convention is held. The deer hunt will allow students to miss two more days of school on Oct., 18 and 21. Parent-teacher conference is set for Nov. 8. Students will be released early on Nov. 27 to begin the Thanksgiving holiday and will be off Nov. 28-29. Students will begin their annual Christmas vacation on Dec. 21 and return to school Jan. 2. Presidents Day is Feb. 17, spring vacation Mar. 28, parent-teacher conference Apr. 11, and Memorial Day May 26. School will end for the year May 30. |
