A vocal solo was also given by Ronnie. Later family dinner was held In the town park. Out-of-town visitors Included his grandmother, Jean Long, Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Oster-bann, Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Bettenson, Cedar City and Kaeleene Llttlefleld, Murray Louise Shakes pear visited her mother Ora Brinkerhoff. The Lowell Mechams had son Steve and family home for the weekend. September 1 an open house will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. for the new genealogical library at the Tropic LDS Ward. Leona Stewart was a patient in the Garfield Memorial hospital, Panguitch this week. Verdella Nielsen has been released from the hospital and Is convalescing at the home of Ron McGee in Roy. An open house for Mr. and Mrs. Ivan .Clarke will be held in the Tropic.ward cultural hall August 30 from 7 to 9 p.m. The Letter Clarkes are happy to have sontl'Capt. Richard Clarke and family home from, Turkey. He will be stationed at Beal AFB in Marysvale, Calif. The Matland Baughs have daughter Kelly and son, Las Vegas visiting. Margaret Shakespear is attending Brlgham Young University's education week in Provo. Luana Riddle visited her daughter Cherl Feltner. Tim Feltner was In California visiting friends for a week. The Arnold Adairs received word that their grandughter, Montyne Adair, has been selected for Who's Who in America High School Students. A senior at Cedar City High School, she is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Adair. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wright Grantsville visited daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Alvey. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wilson Spent a few days with George Wilsons. ' The Bryce Valley class of 1955 will hold their 20th reunion Aug. 31 at the town park. The Am plus LeFevre family will hold its reunion Aug. 24 In the town park. The Larry Adair family visited the Arnold Adairs. The men folks went for wood while the ladies make pickles and canned beans. Wanda Shakespear was In St. George for a medical appointment. Jeannie Shakespear and Wanda Shakespear enjoyed a visit from their Aunt Laura and from Mr. and Mrs. George (Dorothy) Rowley. Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Wanda) Shakespear spent a few days fishing at Otter Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Price Allred were recent visitors in Tropic. They plan to make their home here. The Norman LltUefields had grandaughter Kayleen, Murray, visit them. The Ray LUtlcfields had all of their children and their families home for a reunion. Sons, Dean, Sandy, Neal, Little Rock, Ark,,Kay Washington, D.C and Daughters, Reonone. Hudson, Cedar City and Christine, Panguitch. Kay and Neal will remain for the week then take a son and daughter to Provo to enroll at Brigham Young University. Mr. and Mrs. George (Nell) Wilson attended the Wilson Riding reunion at Hillsdale. The Malen Mecham family had its reunion at the town park, Aug. 18. Present were Jerry Mecham and BoM Mecham, Greenriver; Stan Meacham, Lowell Mecham and Viva Mecham, Tropic; Marilyn Heaps, Cedar City; and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar (Alene) Larsen, Orem. Trish Chynoweth, Katy Shakespear and Maechone Ott were baptized into the LDS church. Shawn Bybee was ordained a priest and Ton! Foster is the new Primary nursery leader. Cub Scout Olympics will be held in Cannonville park Aug. 24. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Shakespear and sons visited the E. R. Shakespears. Mr. and Mrs. Dar Smith visited the Earl Jolleys The Rex Sandburgs had their two daughters, Mrs. Sandberg's mother, Jean LeFevre and Dorothy Ackleman spend a few days with them. "t |
