Show EMT Session Readied For Beaver Oct. 6 ST. GEORGE - This Fall's Emergency Medical Technician training course will be held in Beaver High School on eight weekends from October 6 to December 9. The course will be directed by regional coordinator for KMT, Albert Orton, and will be held Friday evenings and all day Saturday. The instruction it designed to train ambulance attendance, police officers, firemen, jeep rescue personnel and others who may be required to provide paramedical assistance in the event of Injury or illness. Graduates of the training program will be registered with the Utah State Division of Health, and will be awarded a national certificate of Completion and shoulder patch. An EMT is a nonmedical person with 81 hours of training beyond the first sid level who is able to assess the nature and severity of an injury or illness and to assume resonsibility until the victim can be delivered to medical care. Registration for the course, whether for credit or non-credit is $40.00.
