Show This is what's left for one of two trucks which collided last week on Garfield Countv road near "The Dips". Five teen-agers were injured and property damage to the two vehicles was extensive. Five Hurt in Collision Five Panguitch youths were injured last week at about 9:40 p.m. as two pickup trucks collided on a Garfield County road known as "The Dips". David J. LeFevre, 21 was driving south when he met Robert Dan Brown, 18 coming north LeFevre skidded 52 feet and the Brown vehicle skidded 86 feet to the point of impact. Other occupants of the Brown vehicle were Heidi Miller, Pat Mclnelly and Don Price, all 15. All five were treated at Garfield Memorial Hospital. Brown was taken to St. George where he underwent surgery for a ruptured intestine. Miller had a fractured jaw, a concussion, fractures and bruises She was taken to Provo for treatment Mclnelly has a fractured leg and is in Garfield Hospital. Price had his teeth knocked loose and into his mouth. After the vehicles collided, Price left the vehicles and walked about four miles to U.S. Highway 89 where he was picked up by passing motorists and taken into Panguitch. 'This is the worst head-on that I have ever investigated without having any fatalities," said Otho Bulkley, investigating officer. |
