Show ready for business the new sheave wheel for the grand central mine arrived the other day and superintendent P J donnelly exi exl acts to have it in place by this evening for the past few weeks or since the accident which wrecked one of the sheave wheels but one corn com apartment part ment of the shaft has been in use and consequently no work was done below the 1600 1111 level mr donnelly states that the force will be increased as soon as the hoist ing equipment is in order again and that he will resume work v ork upon the 2100 level about feet more of drifting will no doubt cut the ore up on this level and then superintendent donnelly will probably sink the shaft to even greater depth I 1 ahe he grand central like many of the mines appears to get bigger and richer with depth and when the pres ent plans are completed the mine will no doubt hae hane the deepest workings in the camp until the new smelter la is able to handle more ore the output of the grand central will not exceed about nine carloads each week |
