Show THE INTERMOUNTAIN CATHOLIC several hundred people met the Bishop personally. The musical program, under the direction of Mrs. Dobbs, parish choir leader, was most pleasing. Mr. J. E. Cosgriff, of Salt Lake City, spoke eloquently on the St. Vincent de Paul Society, the purpose being the local conference. to Bishop Mitty was the guest of the Sacred Heart Academy at a banquet and entertainment in the evening. On the November Communion Sunday, the Pastor expressed deep pleasure at the sight of his boys approaching the communion rail in rank and with exemplary devotion. Could there be a better training for genuine Catholic manhood? Parents, give your boys encouragement and especially your good example in this respect. All Saints Day was a happy day for the J. H. N. football team. The Cathedral High School Second team journeyed from Salt Lake City to decide supremacy on the gridiron, the first game between these two rivals having resulted in a tie. The Ogdenites took the laurels this year with a 14 to 0 victory. It was an interesting and game, revealing a surprising knowledge of football from such young players. Cathedral took along some forty rooters. After the game, the visiting team and the rooters were guests of the Junior Holy Name Society at the K. or C. Home. The feed could rightly have been called a banquet except for the fact that there was so much to eat. A reception and dance followed. The football squad was to close its season in a game with the Logan High Seconds at Logan on Armistice Day. Owing to the uncertainty of a school holiday at the time, it was decided to hang up the togs for the season. Father Ruel and Ed.
