And children with freckles more freckles than one person could ever count sauntered around the fair knowing they were bound to win something m the Freckle Contest. Saturday was Kid's Day. It also was the day Utah residents could see the fair which closes Sunday evening Fashion Show The annual Miss Indian Utah State Fair pageant was conducted Saturday, followed by a fashion show of clothing designed by Indians. La Costa, a country-webtesinger, performed at the grandstand The first-plac- e prize In the pet show went to a sleek black cat whose name, aptly enough, was Tom. He is owned by Anne Gaibford of Salt Lake City. Second prize was awarded to a Boston Bud Terrier owned by Kim Kraus, Salt Lake City; third prize to a mixed poodle owned by Kathy Coleman, Salt Lake City, and fourth prize to a pair of garter snakes belonging to Julie Coleman, Salt Lake City. Jeff Chalmers, a former circus performer, has been coaching Mr Morrison for the past month The two are working as a comedy team at the fair They hope it will be a stepping stone to get them a circus job. Mr. Chalmers says Mr Morrison has been a good pupil and has added much to the act. The program is produced by students at the University of Arizona, who use mostly original music and have received acclaim throughout the county.
