The 1976 Campaign for the 435 House seats opens with The Democrats enjoying a substan-- 1 L tial 57 to 34 percent lead. ' The current figures closely F ( FJs match those recorded in the ! 1974 election when Democrats swept the House, winning 291 seats to the GOPs 144.
