Mrs. Horrocks admits that her son Justin is a great deal of work, but also is lots of fun. However, she adds, it was a big adjustment becoming a mother and giving up all the time I spent on myself. Two of her classmates are Kerry Startin and Dawn Hubbard, both 17, who reside with parents. The Startin girl, who plans to go on to beauty school, has a daughter, Ashlii. The Hubbard girl, whose baby is four months old, hopes to become a nurse. The young women feed their babies during class and give them solids at lunchtime. Cribs and high chairs are provided.-- A nursery at-tendant cares for the children during naps and playtime. In addition to Driggs, there are three other centers, according to Almina Barksdale, district home economics and health occupation coordinator. They include facilities near Central junior high and Jackl-in- g and Millcreek elementary schools. The young mothers program started in 1970 in an old home on the east side of the valley. Since then, 1,513 girls have attended. Last year there were 160 students. At present there are 78 enrolled, but the number is expected to increase in the coming months. Mrs. Barksdale explained that the program is designed for students under age 21 who are either pregnant or already have a child, but have not completed high school.
