Walters and Spirits of St. Louis owners Ozzie Silna, Donald Schupak, and Harry Weltman (general manager) met for 12 hours Wednesday to discuss the future of professional basketball in Utah. There was much progress and the situation is favorable. There could possibly be an announcement said Walters, who is representing local soon, investors who have put up a reported $600,000. An announcement could end 2 Vi months of speculation that the ABA Spirits would move to Salt Lake City for next easeon. It has been that long since Walters announced his agreement with Silna and Schupak, and conditions were met. Those conditions were a reported 3,000 season tickets and $600,000 local money. Walters, working around the clock, got $600, (XX) from local investors, but last week after the ABA board of trustees approved the Spirits move to Salt Lake City, he said "there is a monkey wrench in the negotiations and its a real monkey wrench.
