Show October 27, 1998 Emery County Progress Business Review Gordon's Nursery & Floral - growing with the times Gordons Nursery & Floral, owned by Hilary Gordon and Tammy Hansen, moved into some beautiful new facilities in March of 1997 and have been increasing business every since. The new building is located at 686 North 400 East in Huntington. The move added many new and exciting areas to the business. They were able to add three new green houses and a large floral area. They also carry a large selection of trees and shrubs along with bedding plants and house plants. They have also gone into selling ponds and they carry all of the items needed to make your yard pond outstanding such as fish, plants and statuary. At this time, they are underway with their traditional poinsettia crop. They will be ready to sell the plants the middle of November. They will be available in a variety of colors. Their new project for 1998 was installing hydroponics. They have 1,100 tomato plants, plus cucumbers and bell peppers that they will be able to harvest the end of Oct They will continue until March to offer everyone in the area a chance to buy fresh produce during the winter months. They also have a large selection of pumpkins for sale that they have grown. On Oct. 31 they will have a pumpkin carving contest starting at 1 :00 p.m. They will have prizes and treats for all so come and join the fun. Each year thousands of poinsettias are planted and sold and this year will be no exception. Choose from a variety of items to use in a back yard or in house garden or fountain area.
