Oct. 28 - Nov. 3 Trick or Treat During the week of Halloween, local school children will be asked to bring a donation of canned goods to school. Donations will benefit the Emery and Carbon County Food banks and provide Thanksgiving baskets to needy families in the community. Please, donate a can of food if you can. Donations will also be accepted at local grocery stores in Emery County and City Market in Price on Halloween day. Sponsored by local USU Students and the CEU SUN Center. Culture Connection Oct. 22, Castle Winds, Price Civic Auditorium 7 p.m.; Oct. 30, CEU Chamber Choir - Requiem Frostianna, Price Civic Auditorium 7 p.m.; Oct. 31,1 alloween Carnival in the Price Peace Garden, Halloween Story Hour in Price Library 11 to Noon, Carbon High Renaissance, Parade of Costumes with prizes for winners 12 to 1:40 p.m. Carved and Decorated Pumpkins judged at 2:30 p.m. Entertainment Games - Booths till 6 p.m.; Dec 1 -- 10, CEU Holiday Concert, Price Civic Auditorium 7 p.m,; Feb. 6, A romantic evening of music and ballet featuring Carbon County youth. Other Programs will be added from time to time. FSA Election Oct. 26 is the last day to file nomination forms with the FSA county office. Ballots will be mailed to eligible voters on Nov. 16. The Last day to return voted ballots to the county office or postmarked will be Dec. 1. On Jan. 1, elected committee members and alternates take office. Farm owners, operators, tenants, and sharecroppers of legal voting age can vote if they are eligible to take part in any FSA program. Check with your FSA county office for voting requirements. Almost anyone eligible to take part in a county FSA program may be a candidate for the committee. Dont miss out on voting. HAPPENING High School. The classes will start on Oct. 29 and run to Jan. 14. If interested, please leave your name and phone number with the high school secretary. Highschool credit is also available for this class, there is a fee for the class and materials. Utah College Fair The 18th annual Utah College Fair will be on the U of U campus Oct. 31. This free event brings representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities nationwide to meet with prospective students and parents. The Utah College Fair will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Universitys Olpin Union Ballroom. School representatives will be on hand to answer questions and pass out literature about their in availability of off-camp- housing? What work opportunities are there, both on and -- CAMPUS EVENTS Pumpkin Patch in 11:20 am, 12:10 p.m., and 2 p.m. In addition, college videos will be shown in the Little Theater. The University of Utah Olpin Union is located at the south end of Central Campus Drive, which is accessed by either North Campus Drive or Federal Way. Those planning to attend the fair should come with a prepared list of questions for college counselors, such as: What are entrance requirements? What are tuition and fees? Every child will receive a spooky treat. The Burn Window The burn window for Castle Dale City is Oct. 1 through Oct. 30. It is not legal to burn outside of this time. Please been Workshop The Southeastern Utah District Health Department will be conducting two Food Handlers Workshops Oct. 29, at the Health Department in Castle Dale at 4 and 7 p.m. There is a fee for the class.
