Show 6A Emery County Progress Castle Dale Utah Tuesday October 27 1998 Fourth Graders tackle Timpanogos and the Peppermint Place 'IS Takmg a breather from Miss Jorgensen and Mrs. Jensens classes at Castle Dale embarked bus journey to Timpanogos Cave on a long, Elementary and the Peppermint Place last Thursday. It was a strenuous hike, but everyone made it up to the cave with the kids in the lead and most of the adults lagging behind The students learned about the history of Timpanogos cave and how to identify many of its amazing formations. Following the journey into the heart of Timpanogos and after a much needed lunch, the weary travellers headed for the next stop at the Peppermint Place candy factory At the factory they watched, through windows high above the factory floor, as workers demonstrated the art of making candy canes. While watching the candy canes being made was interesting, the students seemed more excited about the large array of candy for sale downstairs at the entry to the building. After purchasing enough candy to make Halloween almost unnecessary this year, the students piled on the bus and headed home And no... they werent to tired to sing songs all the way home. Those attending the field trip were: Alex Judd, Kyler Edgehouse, Trevor Lofthouse, Meriah Maxfield, Laura Peacock, Lacee Taylor, Steven Giles, Steve Larsen, Jackie Rogers, Cambne Littlefield, Kim Judd, Kenssa Bell, CshaNel Chipman, Brett White, Jake Fausett, David Payton, Brittame Clarke, Sophie Smith, Joey Hayward, Kassidy Thompson, Brandon Larsen, Kade Jones, Billy White, Jacob Begay, Cameron Jorgensen, Cole Bunderson, Colby Horton, Ty Thomas, Jeremy Wake, Dallon Jones, David Christensen, Lacey Branson, Whitney Jensen, Kyla Burke and several parent chaperones.
