In addition our taxes were raised to pay off PacifiCorp's tax protest and were never lowered as had been in the past. Consistently we continue to pay higher taxes and the Commissioners continue to spend even more than what we pay to fill their high spending appetites. Our Sheriff is not out of the loop for flagrant spending habits. Never has he been held responsible for his out of control budget spending Our seniors try to live on fixed incomes families exist on tight budgets all while our local government officials spend, spend, spend1 Where does compassion come to ease the burden we are carrying. This election year it will come from a stick big (metophorically speaking of course) He works his heart out to ensure that he is helping coach the best team there is.. .and Coach Reynolds... I do believe youve done it! I hope that when my little brother is in High School, youre still coaching with the same devotion. Coach Jim Fielder has been with the Spartans for two years now. Before becoming an Emery Coach Jim was the head of the Youth Little League Program for eight years. Like any success ladder, Jim started low and has now made it to the top. Not just anyone can be an Emery Spartan Coach. It takes someone with strength, talent and a love for the boys they are coaching. These are all qualities that Coach Fielder exibits. Rain or shine, Coach Fielder has always been one to show up ready i t , - h15 . more and to work importantly. ..ready to win. Whether his boys win or lose, Jim can at least be proud of the fact that they tried and they tried their hardest. His sportsmanship can not compare to anyone around. Hes never been one to stand up and yell at a ref for no good reason and hes always tried to keep the animosity down on the sidelines. We look forward to Jims return for the 1999 team. Mr. Arrington these men do their best. I can agree that this has not been one of the greatest years in Spartanland, but the coaches dont recruit their playto come. Coach Kevin Reynolds has ers. Coach Littlefield is someone that they players respect and accept as a friend. To find a better man to be praised for his character and his devotion would be absolutly impossible. Darryl has proven throughout this year that he has got exactly what it takes to be an Emery High Coach. There is no doubt in my mind that he will have many more successful years at Emery High. Coach Rick Frost has proved to be somewhat of a different kind of coach also. He puts himself on a level that the players can easily absorb and pay attention to. While Rick is at San Rafeal Jr. High and not full time at Emery, he does his best to get to know all of the players and be as involved with them as he can. Coach Frost is one to hold much of nothing back. Ifhisboysmess up, he lets them know it and he also lets them know how it is that they can correct it. Now Im sure that there are a lot of people that just took that Coach Justice is a very dedicated coach and it is because of this dedication that he is such a valuable resource to the Emery High Football team. Mark is respected by his team and by the other coaches that he works with. As a manager I feel privildged to be able to work with him on his play books and anything else he has asked me to help out with. Coach Justice always offers up his personal vehical to haul all of the equipment to the away games and helps unload it when he arrives. Markisa pleasure to be around on and off the field. He keeps his cool even in the most stressful of times. Coach Justice is a revered coach at the high school and his presence will be looked forward to for many moreyears 472-555- 6 Dear Emery County Voters; 381-549- equals instead of inferiors. RAC m sentence in the complete wrong way so please allow me to explain. Coach Frost is young and entergetic. When one ofthe boys hes been working with runs in a good touchdown, this man jumps up and down and practically breaks his arm patting the player on the back. When someone messes up, sure the coach wants to know what the kid was thinking And generally those are the first words out of Coach Frosts mouth. What were you doing? Where was your head? But Rick always tells the boys to keep their heads up and their minds on the game. Hopefully Rick will be with Emery High for many years to come. The team needs his kind of energy. A retuning favorite to the staff this year is Coach Mark Justice. Mark is the head coach of the Junior Varsity team, and his team has played very well For more information eaed tacos ' Sunday Only 12:00pm - 8:00pm Limited Time Only 120 NO. Carbonville Rd. Better yet, challenge kids to create costumes that dont need weapons to be scary and fun. Pedestrian related The wilderness proposal for this County is not effective despite all the praises it receives in the paper. When Pat Shea, BLM Director, is advising President Clinton to veto the plan and our Commissioners continue to spend our tax dollars pushing their idea, it constitutes a large waste of money. Why not use current laws to protect Emery's wi- lderness fights instead of cooperating in shutting down roads that are legal to use.
