City Market reported two different thefts of wooden pallets from the rear of the store. Folks now gather firewood at the rear of grocery stores. I remember in the olden days.... I was going through the reports and noticing all of the complaints about the kids downtown. I was thinking about some of the stuff I had heard, complaining about the police department harassing the kids. If the business people downtown would just stop complaining about the kids who are being disorderly, abusive to everybody, smoking and drinking, blocking the sidewalks, running down people on their skateboards, roller blades, and bicycles, and damaging all kind of nice things which the business people have spent a lot of money on, well.... 040598, As if the thousands of people in town and all the other stuff going wasnt enough, 29 burglaries and 2 attempted burglaries were reported to have occurred in businesses. The majority were in 2 office buildings where office doors were kicked in and very little was taken. One Main Street retail shop was broken into and a lot of jewelry was taken. If anyone observed anything unusual during the early morning hours on Sunday, downtown, please give the PD a call. We also received a number of other calls including; some kids guns, messing around with a peeping Tom, and several lost and found reports. B-- to Shirt Tates for new half-brothe- r, Moab.
