Krall, 19, of Wilmington, Ohio, was shot in the back with a bullet, a university hospital spokesman said, and was in satisfactory condition. He and 25 others were arrested on charges ranging from disorderly conduct, throwing missiles and rioting. Krall was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest. Police said be had threatened the officer with a bottle. Lt. Dezzie Harris, who said Krall was shot by a police officer, said only one bullet was fired during the disturbances. "Evidently, the rally disintegrated into a disturbance," Harris said. "They had been ordered to leave the area. There was some damage-wind- ows broken, several cruisers were damaged. "In this particular case, was evidently the officer threatened personally, with personal harm. This was the only live ammunition used that I know of." Policemen and firemen were dispatched to an area near the Ohio State campus after the students returned from a march to the downtown state-hous- e and the disturbances erupted.
