Show HILL TOP TIMES Page 14 Friday, May 13, 1983 Peck CDtfed by Veterans organization SrA. Darrell S. Peck, a Hill AFB security policeman, was recently cited by Minuteman Post 8868 of the VFW. He was given a Certificate of Appreciation which recognized his unyielding adherence to the highest ideals of law enforcement in maintaining, preserving and protecting lawful rights of citizens. Airman Peck was selected "Outstanding Security Police First Term Airman for 1982" and was a member of the Air Force Logistics Command Security Police Peacekeeper Challenge team. The team placed first in the obstacle course during world-wid- e competition. In May 1982, he was named "Outstanding Individual Performer" during the Hill AFB intramural track meet. Reed recently received a suggestion award of $1,224 for designing a tool to make breakdown and buildup of aircraft wheels easier. The tool is easier, faster and less expensive than the one prescribed in the technical orders. The tool has eliminated procurement costs of additional required tooling and has been accepted as an invention which resulted in an additional $100 award.
