Accent V2 cup mayonnaise Fry bacon not too crisp, drain, cut in small pieces. Chill. Rub mixing bowl lightly with cut garlic. Mix vegetables, eggs, cheese and bacon. Top with Accent. Let stand at room temperature 1 hour. Mix in mayonnaise. mayon-naise. Chill at least 1 hour. Serves 8. Norma Wardell From the kitchen of Janet Wallis comes this cooling jello salad supreme. ORANGE JELLO SUPREME Dissolve 1 small package orange jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add 2 Tbsp. Tang, stir till dissolved. Drain 1 can mandarine oranges and 1 8-oz. can crushed pineapple. Save juice, set fruit aside. Add 1 cup drained juice to jello. Let set. When jello is firm add 1 medium size Cool Whip, mandarine oranges cut in half and crushed pineapple, 1 cup grated long horn cheese and V2 cup chopped pecans. Put in 9x12 inch pan. Let set. STAR SPANGLED PUNCH 1 6-oz. package cherry gelatin 2 cups boiling water 6 cups cold water 1 small can orange juice concentrate 1 small can lemonade 1 large can pineapple juice 1 qt. chilled ginger ale Combine above ingredients except ex-cept ginger ale and chill until very cold. Add 1 quart chilled ginger ale . when ready to serve. Makes 16 to 18 (8 oz.) servings. Another favorite drink of warmer weather is frappe. This one is easy and delicious. EASY FRUIT FRAPPE 1 quart vanilla ice cream 1 quart pineapple sherbet 1 or 2 packges (10 oz. each) frozen raspberries 2 or 3 bananas, cut into small pieces Soften ice cream and sherbet in refrigerator (just enough to mix; don't let them melt); mix well. Thaw raspberries just enough to separate. Fold raspberries, juice and all, and bananas into ice cream and sherbet mixture. This is best when served right after mixing, but it may be made ahead and refrozen. Bananas may darken if the mixture stands too long. 12 to 14 servings. And for dessert let's enjoy Yummy Yum-my Chocolate Mint. YUMMY CHOCOLATE MINT 1 pkg. (10 oz.) vanilla wafers, crushed v 2 squares chocolate, melted 2 cups powdered sugar . V2 cup (Vi lb.) butter or margarine 2 eggs, separated 1 tsp. vanilla Va tsp. salt Vz cup chopped nuts 1 quart ice cream, softened Grease baking pan; place half of the vanilla wafer crumbs in the bottom. bot-tom. Mix chocolate, sugar, butter, and egg yolks. Add vanilla and salt and beat well. Beat egg whites until un-til stiff and fold into chocolate mixture. mix-ture. Spread chocolate mixture over crumbs. Cover with the chopped nuts. Spread softened ice cream on top. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Place in freezeer. Remove from freezer 10 minutes before serving. ser-ving. Cut into squares to serve.
