Tests conducted during dur-ing the month of January have indicated excessive bacteria in the Vernal City Ci-ty Water System. Of the 46 samples collected, 6 indicated the presence of coliform bacteria. This violated Section 3.1.4 of the Utah Public Drinking Water Regulations. State law requires that we give public notice of this fact. Samples from our system have averaged 25 coliforms per 100 ml. (about one glass of water). The drinking water limit is one coliform col-iform per 100 ml. Unsatisfactory Un-satisfactory water samples indicate a defect exists in our water system.
