Show Grace Lutheran Church honors Russon Brothers CENTER VILLE--Members of Grace Lutheran Church recently paid tribute to Russon Brothers for its support of the new congregation. At a recent open house held at the church, 380 Pages Lane, Russell Peters, an employee of Russon Brothers Mortuary, accepted a plaque pla-que on behalf of Brent and Scott Russon. The fledgling congregation held worship services at the mortuary from November 1989 to September 1990, when the church moved into a store front facility on Pages Lane. In honoring Russon Brothers, the Rev. Peter Hovland, pastor, said he remembered well his first contact with the brothers. "I remember calling around to businesses, asking if we could rent a facility. When I called Russon Brothers, I believe it was Brent who said 'No, we won't rent it to you, but we will let you use it. " That was a big help to the young congregation, the Rev. Hovland said. Peters, who was in charge of unlocking the mortuary every Sunday Sun-day while the congregation met there, read a letter from Scott and Brent Russon, which said in part, ' We consider Grace Lutheran Church to be friends of the highest caliber. May you find peace and joy and shelter from the world as you worship God." i J ? 1 I n J I iNMWl .. . .
