Show Businesses urged to enter market By SCOTT SUMMERILL An export market target study developed by the Salt Lake Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Port Authority's Export Assistance Program has been released for Utah businesses interested inter-ested in international trade. Information from the study, as well as assistance in assessing product pro-duct marketability, development of market strategies, information about potential sales leads and assistance in export-related financing, legalities and shipping are being provided by the Salt Lake County Division of Job Training and Development. Job Trainer and Developer Larry Bemaski said most Utah businesses don't realize the worth of their product pro-duct in the international market, or how easy it is to get into the market. "We want to show them it's not as difficult as they think to get into the exporting business," he said. "We want to target the small businesses. busi-nesses. Bern as ki said that 80 percent of the total exporting from the United States is being done by about 250 companies, and an increase in ex- porting companies, especially from small businesses, would help local, state and national economics.
