Show NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF PUBLIC HEARING AND AVAILABILITY OF ; ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT : On the Proposed Widening and Improvements to : State Street and Clark Lane From 650 West to 1525 West I Project No. RS-0120(1) M M The Utah Department of Transporta- tion herewith advises all interested per- sons or groups that Davis County pro- - X poses to provide improved highway access for vehicles and pedestrians from Farmington City westerly along State Street to the new Davis County ! Criminal Justice Complex west of 1-15 and continuing westerly along Clark Lane to 1525 West. The highway improvements im-provements for the preferred alternative include the addition of a pedestrian crossing to the 1-15 overpass, and the expansion of the existing road fronting the Criminal Justice Complex and the Davis County Fairgrounds to one traffic , lane in each direction with a continuous turning lane, together with curb, gutter, sidewalk, and parking areas. The westerly portion of the project from 1100 West Street to 1525 West Street includes the mitigation of impacted wetlands found within the proposed right-of-way and the purchase of land necessary to provide a 100 foot right-of-way to allow for future growth. The governing officials of Farmington City and Davis County are aware of this project. pro-ject. The public is herewith advised that an official Public Hearing conducted by the Utah Department of Transportation to discuss the Environmental Assessment Assess-ment prepared for this project and the location and design features of the pro- " posed improvements will be held on Thursday, May 3, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. in the Davis County Commission Chambers, Room 126, Davis County Courthouse, 28 East State Street in Farmington, Utah. Information to be presented at the hearing will include a discussion of the location and design alternatives con- ' side red. Appropriate illustrative materials mate-rials will be available for inspection. During the hearing, verbal andor written testimony pertaining to the features of the proposed project or to its social, economic and environmental effects will be received from all interested inter-ested persons or groups. Any person or group unable to attend the public hearing, but wishing to give testimony pertinent to the aforementioned aforemen-tioned project, may do so in writing. This testimony should be directed to the Utah Transportation Commission, Attention: At-tention: James E. Johnston, Community Involvement Officer, 450 1 South 2700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 841 19-5998. For inclusion in the official transcript of the public hearing proceedings, letters ""; must be postmarked no later than midnight mid-night May 14, 1990. Please begin such testimony by making reference to the hearing or project. The public is further advised that an Environmental Assessment has been prepared for this project which defines the scope of the project, alternatives, any potential for environmental impact, and mitigation measures which might , : 1 relieve adverse environmental impacts. The assessment is available at the , : following locations: Utah Division, ' Federal Highway Administration, 125 ... ; South State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah; Location and Environmental Studies Section, Utah Department of Transportation, Transpor-tation, 4501 South 2700 West, Salt Lake City, Utah; and the Utah Department Depart-ment of Transportation Headquarters, 169 North Wall Avenue, Ogden, Utah and the Davis County Public Works Department, 1500 East 650 North, Fruit Heights, Utah. The Environmental Assessment will be available for public comment for thirty days from the first date of publication pub-lication of this notice. Comments should be sent to: R.
