Show Utah's hunting, fishing 'hot spots' outlined in 1990 Wildlife brochure A new brochure, "Exploring Utah's Hunting and Fishing Opportunities," Oppor-tunities," is now available through the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Department Although the brochure is aimed at out-of-state sportsmen, it is very applicable to Utah outdoorsmen, according to Steve Phillips, Wildlife Resources information officer. The brochure contains information informa-tion on small-game hunting and lists Utah's top 20 fishing spots in addition to listing agencies that sell detailed fishing and hunting maps. The brochure also outlines information in-formation for big-game hunting in Utah, how to apply for big-game licenses, and lists tentative dates for 1990's big and small-game hunting seasons. Phillips said Wildlife Resources sends the brochure to people who write in for hunting and fishing information. in-formation. ' We have needed something like this for a long time, and we expect a big demand for this year's edition," he said. He estimated that between 16,000 and 18,000 out-of-state sportsmen visit the state each year, and dump an estimated $530 million into the state's economy. The new brochure is available at the Salt Lake Wildlife Resources Office or at any of the five regional Wildlife Resources offices, according accor-ding to Phillips. |
