Show NEWS NOTES FROM , GREENVILLE By MRS. GEO. A. HORTON Mrs. Glen Blackner and Kay visited Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bradshaw and family at Manderfield. Mrs. Tom Parkinson of Pin-tura Pin-tura and Mrs. William Blackett and daughter Donna Lee of Orem were here at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Morris, this week. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Lublin of Inglewood, Cal., were here Saturday Sat-urday en route to Salt Lake City, where they were called because be-cause of the sudden death of Mr. Lublin's mother. Mrs. Lawrence Thompson left Monday to accompany Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson to Salt Lake, where they will attend Mrs. Lublin's funeral on Tues- j day. j I Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Williams i were visiting in Cedar City Sun- ' day with their son-in-law and , ' daughters, Mr and Mrs. Earl 1 j Kinnep and family, and Miss Carol Williams. ' At the Ross Calvert home this week-end and for Memorial Day will be Mr. and Mrs. Don Peter son of Pocatello, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Blackner returned home Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Street ; who remained in Greenville overnight. Miss Celeste Black-; ner returned to Salt Lake with them, and expects to stay for the summer. Mrs. Eula Jacobsen of Pine arrived here Sunday in company with Mr. and Mrs. Angus Mc- C'eod, who were en route to Salt Lake City. Mrs. Jacobsen i is a guest at the G. A. Fordham home. (Hold Over from Last Week) Mr. and Mrs. H. Bailey, who have been visiting at the home of their son, John Bailey, have returned to their home in San Diego, Cal. Miss Carol Williams was over from Cedar City to visit with her parents Saturday and Sunday. Robert Calvert was here last week-end to attend the graduation gradua-tion of his brother, David. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rogers and Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Rogers and fami'y of Milford were dinner guests of the Hortons on Sunday. Lelia Mae, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Rogers, remained in Greenville for a visit with her uncle and aunt. Elwood Gates left Saturday with his mother for their home in Venice, Cal., Also accompanying accompa-nying them were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Fordham and Mrs. Mary Robinson, who will visit at the Gates home. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson and son and Mrs. Lorette Thompson Thomp-son spent two days this week with Mr. and Mrs. Marion Reese and family at Panaca, Nev. Mrs. Doyle Rollins and family of Minersville visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ormond Morris Tuesday. Tues-day. Speakers at sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday were C. F. Gron-ning Gron-ning of Milford and Char.es Jameson of Minersville. Mrs. Gronning and Katie, and Mrs. Jameson and her granddaughter accompanied the men: Ira L. Yardley, resident high council man for Greenville, attended meetings thruout Sunday here. David Calvert accompanied other members of the senioi class to Las Vegas for Helldo rado. i Mr. and Mrs. James Smith are driving a new automobile. Mr .and Mrs. Vivian Edwards weie in Mjlford Monday. ! Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Briggs I visited in Greenville Tuesday. I 1 Mr. and Mrs. James Bradford I of Blanding, Utah, and Mr. and I Mrs. Richard Street of Salt Lake J City were week-end visitors of the J. W. Blackners. Mr. and I Mrs. Blackner accompanied the j Streets to the city, where Mr. 1 B ackner will receive medical I treatment. j Committees are working on 1 the annual ward dinner, to be I held on June 4th. This time it will be turkey. The program j and dance committees are planning plan-ning an evening of good enter-I enter-I tainment. Mrs. Emma Williams returned home Saturday after a visit in Caliente, Nev. Earl Horton was here for a short visit last week-end. Mrs. Daphne Smith and son Alpine visited friends and relatives rela-tives here Tuesday. Alpine re-1 turned late that day, and Mrs. Smith remained as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Blackett. |
