Prizes were won by Dorothy Kizer, Margaret Mahoney and Ethel Mclntyre. Other guests were Phyllis Keetch, Beulah Wunderlich, Vera Cooper, Dorothy Dor-othy Mori is and Helen Banks. May 23, by Lois Jean Fowles and Miss Archer, honoring Zelda Merry-weather, Merry-weather, who will become the bre of Herbert Coon May 31. The afternoon was spent playing play-ing Monte Carlo Whist. Prizes went to Mrs. Merryweather and Bonnie Lund. Zelda received many lovely gifts. The hostesses served a dessert course to Nancy Hillman, Genevieve Gene-vieve and Catherine Sheriff, Joyce Coon, Afton Hollis, Glenda Fowles, Dorothy Fotheringham, Jonelle Baxter, Orlynn Stott, Deon Lofthouse, Bonnie Lund, Mrs. Arthur Hansen, Mrs. Mildred Mil-dred Coon, Mrs. Merryweather, Mrs. Archer, Jo'aine Archer, and the guest of honor. THE REGULAR election of officer and delegates for the : American Legion Auxiliary was . held on May 27th at the home of i-'resident Magdalena White, j Selected to direct the affairs j of the organization for the com-j com-j ing year were Ethel Smith, president; pres-ident; Patricia Williams, first vice president; Juanita Gleason, second vice president; Letha j Smyth, treasurer, Urith Hill, : i'crelary; Phyllis Price, chaplain; chap-lain; Ethel Nielsen, historian; Sarah Alice Griffiths, sergeant at arms, and Carlie Waddoups, welfare chairman. Mrs. Ethel Smith first served as president of the Auxiliary in 1938. Mrs. Letha Smyth has been treasurer for two terms, and Mrs. Waddoups has served as welfare chairman for many years. The new officers will be installed in-stalled by Mrs. Nielsen, district president, on June loth. Delegates Dele-gates to the Department convention, conven-tion, to be held in Price June 17 to 19, will be Ethel Smith, chairman; Ethel Nielsen, Patricia Patri-cia Wil'iams, Phyllis Price, and Letha Smyth. Alternates are Magdalena White, Urith Hill, Jane Gillis, Naomi Hughes, and Sarah Alice Griffiths. Delicious refreshments were served by Mrs. White. JOANA MEMMOTT, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Memmott, celebrated her fourth birth anniversary an-niversary on Wednesday, May 21st. A party was given in her honor, with the following freinds and relatives attending: Brother Bradley, Grandmother Grandmoth-er Lane, Uncle Jackie Lane, Cousin Colleen Davis of Cali-ente; Cali-ente; Sharon and Bobbie Hollis, Caron and Doug Bedingfield, Stephen Labrum, Lee Bracken, Susie and Jay Smith, Stephen and Terry Harton, Lillian Blake, David and Gary Peterson, Jan and Roger Memmott, Connie Volhard, and Betty Raines. After an afternoon of games, ice cream, birthday cake and punch were served by Mrs. Mem mott. After a delicious spaghetti dinner din-ner served by Mrs. Connell and her daughter, Mrs. La Vera Meeker, the regular business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Magdalena White, president.
