Show SUMMER YOUTH RECREATION PROGRAM TO START June 9th is the date set for opening of Milford's summer rec- j reation program, it was an- j nounced today by officials of j the Youth Recreation Center. Articles of Corporation have been approved for the non-profit group, and the official charter received from the Secretary of i State. Don Campbell, Lawrence Law-rence Easton.and Lillian Mayer were appointed to the finance committee at a meeting held last : week. Aaron Hanson, director of the . program, announced the following follow-ing schedu'e for Mondays thru , Fridays: 1 1 to 3 p. m., first to third grades. 2 to 4 p. m., fourth to sixth j grades. j 1 to 6 p m., seventh to twelfth grades. Membership cards must be : purchased by each child partici- j pating in the program. Charge I for membership is 25c for the ! entire summer, and proceeds ' will be used to buy equipment j and for maintenance. j Activities planned include touchball, softball, volley , ball, croquet and tennis, with hiking and canyon parties for the older children ,and group games for the youngsters. All children desiring de-siring to participate are asked ot meet at the football field on the afternoon of Monday, June 9. Mr. Hanson also urged captains cap-tains of softball teams to contact con-tact him on June 9th, so he could begin arranging a schedu'e for softball play for both adult and younger teams. |
