Show Legion to Honor American War Dead; Memorial Parade Starts at 10 A. M. The Milford American Legion Le-gion Post, assisted by representatives representa-tives of the City Council and most of the religious and fraternal fra-ternal organizations of the city, I will piesent one of the most' impressive Memorial Day serv- ices ever held in Milford. The ceremonies will begin with a ; parade at 10 a. m., and with the arrival of the marchers at the cemetery, the ritual will con- j tinue with the feature of the day being the p'acing of wreaths ded-' icated to the Unknown American War Dead. i All marchers .including repre-sentatives repre-sentatives of the organizations ) who are to place wreaths on the grave, will assemble at the Legion Le-gion Hall at 9:30. From there the parade, led by the Milford High School Band with a police escort, will march down Main Street to Center Street, then west to the cemetery. The ceremony in the cemetery; ceme-tery; with a public address sys- : tern carrying the program to all corners of the park, will be as follows: j Raising of the Flag, members 1 of Milford Legion Post No. 16. j Invocation, Father Valine. Appropriate music, Milford High School Band. Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, Larry Edwards. Introduction of dignitaries, Don Gleason. Music, High School Band. Speaker, J. M. Hughes. Solo, a Milford High student. Placing of wreaths: City of Milford, by Mayor I J. D. Kirk, j Boy Scouts; B of L F and E, O. W. Karn Lodge No. 439. American Legion, Commander Perry Olsen.
