Show jftrst mnavb By MRS. ALMA SLY Tuesday, May 20th, 33 chil-j dren and 15 adults went to St. j George to do temple work. Shirl , Nichols did the baptizing and Charles Terry and Mack Gilhns assisted. A very enjoyable day was spent by all. Sunday, May 25, in Sacrament meeting Edna Nichols was released re-leased as president of the First Ward Primary, with a vote of thanks for a job well done. Sustained Sus-tained in her place was Rowena Hardy as president, with Irene Griffiths, first counselor; Dorothy Doro-thy Terry, second counselor, and Thelma Gillins, secretary. The incoming officers, James Hardy, Mrs. Nichols and Shirl Nichols made appropriate remarks. Monday, May 26th, Mrs. Edna Nichols, retiring Primary president, presi-dent, was pleasantly surprised when officers and teachers of the Primary feted her at a gathering at the home of Mrs. LaPriel Banks. All officers and teach' ers who have worked with her the past IVz years were invited, and a large number were pres. ent. Cootie was played, with prizes going to May Carter and Wanda Munk. Edna was presented with a lovely gift. j A delicious salad course was served by Rene, Irene, Dorothy and LaPriel. |
