Show ! THE FORTHCOMING mar-j mar-j riage of Miss Zelda Merryweather Merryweath-er to Herbert L. Coon has been announced by Miss Merryweath-er's Merryweath-er's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Merryweather. The future bridegroom bride-groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kimmel B. Coon. The couple wi'l exchange wedding vows May "31 in an evening eve-ning ceremony at the Coon home. A leception will follow in the Milford L D S Church. Miss Janice Nelson of Salt ' Lake will be the maid cf ho:io-. Biair Coon will be the best man. The prospect.ve bride s a popular member of ivlilforri's younger set. A Junior at iviil ford High school, ihc was editor of the Hill Top Echo, student publication; was a member of Tigcrettes, Pep Club organization, organiza-tion, and Junior representative on the Student Council. She a'so seived as student photographer for the 1952 Mill-Ford yearbook. Since coming to Milford 10 years ago, she has been very prominent in L D S youth activities. activ-ities. Mr. Coon was graduated from Milford High with the Class of 1950. An outstanding athlete, he "lettered" in basketball, base-ba'l, base-ba'l, track and football in his Senior year, and was a member of the Mill-Ford staff. After graduation, he enlisted in the Utah National Guard, and served for 12 months overseas in the Korean War. He was discharged dis-charged early this year with the rank of sergeant Iirsc class. Children of Mrs. Selma Carlson Carl-son who are here during Mrs Carlson's illness, and recent operation, op-eration, include Mrs. Helen Bentz of Modena, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Carlson and son Skip of Ogden, and Roy Carlson of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Carlson is improving im-proving satisfactorily. |
