Show geconfc Vliaxb By MRS. GERTRUDE FISHER Fast meeting will be hef'd June 1st, immediately after Sunday School. Sunday evening service June 1st will be under direction of the Fireside Group. The Genealogical committee met at the Lovell Crane home Wednesday evening, May 21. The lesson was given by Calvin Bartholomew. Three Books of Remembrance was purchased by members. The next meeting will be held at Chairman A. A. Jones' home. Those who are interested in-terested in this work are invited to come and participate. Sister Crane served delicious refreshments after the meeting. The Junior Fireside members met at Leland Beard's home Sunday night after sacrament meeting. Aaron Hanson presented pre-sented the lesson. Seventeen members were present. Next meeting will be held at the home of Patsy James. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Beard and Mrs. Wilcock. The Relief Society held their c'osing social in connection with the social science lesson Tuesday, Tues-day, May 27th. The lesson was given by Emma Smith, and refreshments re-freshments were served by the society officers. Work and business meeting will be held on the second Tuesday Tues-day of each month during the summer. Saturday evening the Second Ward held their Priesthood meeting of ward conference The wives of Priesthood members were invited, and a large num- ber of people from Beaver were in attendance. After the meeting meet-ing a social was held in the recreation room. Square dancing danc-ing was enjoyed, and refreshments refresh-ments were served after the dance. Sunday morning at 11:30 the Sunday School carried on the second session of Ward Confer ence. Stake President Murdock presided, and McCoy William-. conducted the program, with John W. Myers, Phyllis Whitta-ker, Whitta-ker, Terry Fisher, Donald Sly, Ronnie Patterson, and Stake Counsellors Aird Merk'.ey and Mark Woolsey, taking part. The deacons were Rulon Hardy, Freddie Wright, Karl Merryweather. Merry-weather. Max Keetch and Patricia Pat-ricia Wilcock gave short talks, and Michael Fisher and Aaron Hansen also spoke. Stake officers offi-cers present weie Dave Pearce and Sarah Bates. Sunday afternoon the officers and teachers held their meeting, conducted by Bishop Gae ii mer. Many fine testimonies were borne. The stake officers of Ward Teaching held a meeting at 4 p. m. William Merrill had th s neeting in charge. Monday afternoon the Primary Pri-mary of the Second aWrd held their lawn party by the swimming swim-ming pool. Everyone had a very good time. The weather was perfect. Punch was served bp the officers, and everyone brought their (own lunch. Sunday evening service was the last session of Ward Conference. Confer-ence. Ira M. Fisher, ward clerk, presented the officers of church stake and ward for approval. Bishop Elmer gave a fine talk on "Our Home Life." President Murdock spoke, emphasizing that "Your job, no matter what it is, is the most important one in the church." The sacrament was administered adminis-tered by Gerald Stoker and Max Keetch. Starting June 2, the Primary of the Second Ward will start their summer session. School is out, and so at 10:30 a. m. all children are cordially invited to be at church for Primary. The officers will hold prayer meeting meet-ing at 10 o'clock. |
