Show By Deon Lofthouse In case any of you have been wondering where the old teachers have been this year, I'm going to tell you. MR. HUGHES Mr. and Mrs. Hughes made two trips to Wyoming and one to California, Cali-fornia, but had , their vacation trip sadly interrupted by a serious automobile accident; so the rest of the summer was spent in Milford. The Hughes' are now remodeling their florist shop. MR. JESSE LONG Between resting spells at Schramm's Auto Garage Mr. Long (known as Jesse or Curly) has been to Mexico and California. He has made about 20 trips to Salt Lake City to see his wife, who is in the hospital. Mr. Long is really a funny man. He works down at Schramm's and teaches school here. WOW. Did I say work, NO, I'm sure I never. He just goes down there to rest. Yes, that's it. Mr. Long was batching it with Mr. Bartholomew. I can just see them cooking and with" both wives away I'll bet they had a gay old time. Well, for more information see Mr. Long. COACH PERRY NEAL This summer Coach Neal went to Texas to visit his parents for a while. After returning to Milford, Mil-ford, he was in charge of the swimming pool as swimming instructor in-structor and lifeguard. This took the rest of his summer. He did have a chance to pull a few kids out of the pool. PRINCIPAL MAX ABBOTT After leaving Milford, Mr. Abbott Ab-bott went to Logan and spent a week attending School Administrator's Adminis-trator's Conference, where he served in a panel discussion. He then attended the University of Utah, doing graduate work in the Educational Administration. After finishing his course he came back to Milford to get ready for school. During Mr. Abbott's schooling, Mrs. Abbott was with him to encourage him and help him get his lessons. We certainly are happy to have him back as our principal again this year. MR. AND MRS. A. T. HANSEN June 1st found Mr. and Mrs. Hansen, Mrs. Hansen's brother, his wife and three handsome nephews (as all the girls in Milford know) on their way to a wonderful vacation. vaca-tion. They stopped in Reno and Virginia City, Nev.; Lake Tahoe, Sacramento, San Francisco, Monterrey, Mon-terrey, and Yosemite Park, Calif. Sightseeing and soaking up history his-tory took up most of their time. A visit to see the California State Legislature in session was also very interesting. After their vacation trip, Mrs. Hansen spent a week at the U. of U. attending the Home Making Teachers' Convention. There she received some new ideas she's going to try out on Jier unsuspecting unsus-pecting students, so beware all of you who fall in the category! Mrs. Hansen spent the other five weeks resting in Provo. (Oh! Oh. She rested in Provo.) Then she and Mr. Hansen returned to Milford where Mrs. Hansen 'worked with the girls' home projects. All of the girls at M. H. S. except three completed home projects this summer, sum-mer, so Mrs. Hansen was kept busy. Mr. Hansen spent six weeks attending at-tending B. Y. U. during the summer. sum-mer. He studied Spanish and "Old English" or Anglo Saxon language. |
