Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thompson Thomp-son have the pleasure of announcing an-nouncing the marriage of their daughter Lucille to Mr. Wallace Chatterley of Twin Falls, Idaho, which took place recently at Salt Lake City. A ladies' party was held Monday evening in the recreation hall of the L D S chapel honoring the couple. The bride was attractively attired in an afternoon dress of burnt orange velveteen. Fall flowers offset the occasion. Mrs. Albateen Roberts directed direct-ed the evening's entertainment of guessing xames and bunco. A program followed, including: Recitation, Mrs. Mae Gray; piano pi-ano solo, Mrs. MaryLue Roberts; melodic bottle tunes, Mrs. Ethel Mathews. A lovely plate lunch was served the large group present. The couple received many nice gifts. Relief Society was held Tuesday Tues-day afternoon, conducted by President Frieda Wood. Opening Open-ing prayer was offered by Mrs. Virgene Jameson, after which the minutes were read by Mrs Druella Hall. The literary lesson les-son entitled "Romanticism" was presented by Mrs. Shirley Hol- I Jay Browner and Oscar Stev-1 ! enson of Caliente and Cedar I City, respectively, were here to ' enjoy the big hunt. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibson and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tanner of San Francisco arrived for their i annual family get-together with the H. C. Eyre's and family. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Carter and Joy of Muroc, Cal.; Sgt. and Mrs. Wilden Carter of Lancaster, Lancas-ter, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ritchey of Burbank, and Mr. Elmer Carter and son Gary of San Diego and two friends from Edwards Air Base, enjoyed the deer hunt in Minersville. Mrs. Carter was a guest of Mrs. Gertrude Ger-trude Marshall while in Minersville. Miners-ville. She also visited at the home of her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Carter of Mil-ford. Mil-ford. Mr and Mrs. Ephraim Mech-am Mech-am have spent the last month or so visiting at Springville where three daughters and one son reside: re-side: Mrs. Ora Fotheringham, Mrs. Lula Waters, and Mrs. L:nda Mecham. Last Tuesday during the regular reg-ular work and business afternoon, after-noon, a report by Miss Carlie Roberts was given covering her trip to Girls State held at Logan last summer. Her presentation was very well given and was received re-ceived enthusiastically by the group as she reiterated the many fine activities she was able to participate in. Luncheon Lunch-eon was served by Mrs. Vivian Marshall, Mrs. Erma Eyre, and Mrs. Paulina Carter. Miss Roberts was sponsored by the Auxiliary to the American Amer-ican Legion under the presidency presi-dency of Mrs. Shirley Hollings-head. Hollings-head. Visitors in Minersville for the annual deer hunt include: Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hollings-head Hollings-head and family of Salt Lake, guests at ,the Stephen Hollings-head Hollings-head home. At the Wilford Robinson residence, res-idence, daughter Genevieve and friend Clark Carr, along with Jimmy Schwab of Salt Lake, spent the week-end. Brothers Arlo and Art Carter of Salt Lake, accompanied by Art's father-in-law,, Mr. Whitehead, White-head, and his son visited at the Clair Carter home and the Stan McKnight residence. At the Bill Baker home, Ray Baker of Wasco, Calif., and Ed Moyes, whose wife is a sister of Mrs. Baker, from Bakersfield, Cal., were guests. I ' rived last week to be present at tne wedding cf a niece, Miss Dorothy Myers, and to enjoy the deer hunt. Mrs. Bill Baker was happily surprised on Monday when members of her family called to spend the afternoon. They were Mrs. Sade Cline, Mrs. Lola Hutchings of Beaver; Mrs. Julia Boyle and fnend of Maywood, Cal., and Mrs. Effie Marshall. The baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Carter was admitted to the Beaver County Hospital the early part of the week, for medical attention. Mr. Frank Carter, father of Bud, has also been on the sick list. Mrs. Marie Rollins is in Mil-ford Mil-ford caring for the family of her daughter, Mrs. Virginia Grimes, while the latter is in Salt Lake for medical attention. Mrs. Patsy Hollingshead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood, is seriously ill suffering from a kidney disease. Her husband is in the service in Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Gray are remodeling their present home, making it more modern and convenient. Mrs. MaryLue Roberts was happily surprised on Saturday when her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vlilton Gentry, and her brother, |
