Show Women's Clubs IHS. PATRICIA WILLIAMS, Society Editor Phone 150 The Brotherhood of Locomotive ! Firemen and Enginemeen held their 27th annual St. Patrick's Day ball in the Arion Hall last Monday. Dave Erickson was chairman of the arrangements committee, Bill Wanderlich had charge of decorations, decora-tions, and was assisted by A. T. Miller, D. D. Payne, A. B. Merry-weather, Merry-weather, W. R. Barry and G. B. Robbins. The hall was beautifully decorated in the St. Patrick's Day theme. Farrel Lish was in charge of the traditional Firemen's Punch Bowl and served generous portions to all at midnight. Bob Brewer, in charge of ticket sales, announced that Roldo Turner Tur-ner deserved the thanks of the committee com-mittee for selling the most tickets. Celebrants at the annual affair report that the dance was one of the best entertainments staged in several years, all present having "a j foine and gr-r-r-and evenin'." Mrs. Grace Jefferson was hostess Lo the Mo' hers' Club last Thursday afternoon. A hot luncheon was served to Mrs. Mary Morford and son Pat, Mrs. Eva Stonehocker and on Bobbie, and Pat McNulty, Mrs. Gloria Vloyantes and small daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Bobbie Henkle, Mrs. Norma Walters, and Mrs. Ruth Williams. The lesson, pertaining to children chil-dren ,was given by Mrs. Williams. Cake and coffee were served aifter the lecture, by the gracious hostess. Mrs. Victor Carlson entertained her bridge club last Thursday evening. eve-ning. Those present were two invited in-vited o-uests, Mrs. James D. Williams Wil-liams and Mrs. Elwood Jefferson, and Mrs. K. B. Coon, Mrs. A. L. McDonald, Mrs. J. M. Vogt, Mrs. O. W. Evans, Mrs. Lloyd Kohler. Mrs, McDonald received a prize for high points in bridge, Mrs. Hillman, second high, and Mrs. Kohler, third. Mrs. Lillian Atkin and Mrs. Mag-dalena Mag-dalena White, trustees. Installation ceremonies will be conducted at the regular April meeting. A fruit salad course was served 1 by the hostess. i Mrs. Eva Ranks had as her guests on Wednesday evening Mrs. Ethel Mclntyre, Mrs. LaNora Lee, Mrs. Garnetta Garfield, Mrs. Ann Lee, Mrs. Gladys Bird, Mrs. Nora Bratifield, Mrs. Phyllis Erick-;on. Erick-;on. Bridge was the evening's entertainment, enter-tainment, with Mrs. Bird receiving high prize, Mrs. Garfield, honors, and Mrs. Mclntyre, consolation. A birthday dinner was given in honor of Ronald Banks by Mrs. Banks on Sunday, March 16. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Gnimshaw, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Holbrook, Mr., and Mrs. Harry Garfield, Mr. and Mrs. Faye Brad-field, Brad-field, and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Erickson. The V. F. W. Auxiliary, Esca-lante Esca-lante Post No. 1546, held their reg- ular meeting in the I. O. O. F. hall.
