Show "FISHING AREAS TO BE STOCKED More than 130,000 German Brown Trout fingerlings will.be planted in the Minersville reservoir this week, according to announcement received re-ceived today Ifrom the State Fish and Game Commission. Also, between be-tween 25,000 and 50,000 legal size trout will soon be planted in the Minersville River, the report said. The river trout will be of different differ-ent species. Members of the Minersville Wildlife Wild-life Protective Association, who have been endeavoring to improve both fishing and hunting facilities of this area, urge all sportsmen interested in-terested in keeping high standards of fishing in the iMnersville river to write the Sfate Fish and Game Commission, urging that the dates for legal fishing in this area coincide coin-cide with those of other areas, instead in-stead of being several weeks before the regular season opens, as in the past. With an early season . here, sportsmen from other areas flock in to catch the newly planted trout, depleting tne game fish before they I have opportunity to become thoroughly tho-roughly matured and acclimated. |
