Show MINERSVILLE CHURCH FUND GETS BOOST More than $670 was added to the Minersville L. D. S. Church building build-ing ifund at an auction of farm, household and other goods Thursday Thurs-day night following a basketball game in the Minersville school gymnasium. About $65 wais taken dn 'from gate receipts at the game, which also went into the building (fund. The Milford American Legion team, playing a return game with the Minersville town team, dropped a 57-53 decision to the hustling Miners, but the game went into an overtime period when the score was even-up at the close of the regulation regula-tion playing time. Thurman Ewe of Minersville was high point main with 17 counters, and Don Snow of Milford racked up 14. Planning a $35,000 structure, the Minersville building committee is now about $5000 short of the "starting "start-ing point" of '$17,00a A total of $22,000 will be raised at Minersville, Miners-ville, with the L. D. S. Church officials of-ficials providing the remainder. Articles auctoned off, ranging from pigs to lovely ladies' dress clips, were donated by , Milford Minersville and Beaver merchants and citizens. Bidding was spirited, with sheets finally going at $5.00, a $5 bill bringing $6.00, and a steer being "knocked down" at $37.50, the highest priced article of the sale. A 6.00x16 automobile tire, donated by Dan Davis, brought $32. Dale Dotson's "only" hens were sold for $8.50 to Dale Dotson. Vick and Nettie Myers, husband and wife, entered into spirited competition com-petition in bidding for a table scarf, with Nettie finally outbidding her husband at $10.60.
