Show LD.S. NOTES MRS. HARVEY DEAN, Reporter. On Tuesday afternoon, March 18, the Milford Ward Relief Society held a program and luncheon in celebration of the 105th anniversary anniver-sary of the organization of the Relief Society. The program consisted of group singing, a piano duet by Shirleen Gillins and Mrs. Eddie Anderson, a vocal solo by Gertrude Fisher, a reading by Mrs. Pete Banks, violin solo, Macel Horton, and a square t dance by a group of the ladies. The luncheon was delicious. Relief Re-lief Society colors were carried out in the table decorations, with bowls of yellow jonquils and place cards of blue that also expressed pioneer theme. The jonquils were presented to the society by Mrs. Luella Fisher. Forty ladies were in attendance, and three members of the stake board also were present, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Muir and Mrs. Pace. Mrs. Lou Moore was chairman of the entertainment committee, assisted as-sisted by Mrs. Nina Bingham, Mrs. Lillian Atkin, Mrs. Nettie Kirk, Mrs. lone Baxter Mrs. Albert, and Mrs. Millie Harris. An L. D. S. Sunday School Convention Con-vention will be held In Cedar City on Sunday, March 23, with the Parowan Stake being host to the Beaver Stake. All officers and teachers of the Milford Ward Sunday School are urged to attend the afternoon session, ses-sion, which begins at 2 o'clock. Union meeting will be held in Beaver at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, after-noon, for all Priesthood leaders. On Sunday evening, the Elders will have charge of the Sacrament Meeting in the Milford ward chapel. |
