Show RED CROSS DRIVE MAY FAIL "A little over $600" of the $650 Milford quota in the 1947 Bed Cross campaign had been subscribed sub-scribed up to Thursday evening, it was reported by Maurce I. Walters, Wal-ters, campaign chairman. Yet to be reported are one small district and South Milford, Mr. Walters said, but it is hardly expected ex-pected that these districts will subscribe sufficient funds to make up the deficit. Yet to be contacted are the various vari-ous civic clubs and. organizations, which last year contributed about $100 to the drive. "We have until March 31st to make our quota," Mr. Walters said, "and with MUford's reputation of never failing to subscribe more than we're asked for. the camDai?n workers sincerely hope that any persons who have not been contacted contact-ed will stop in at The News office to make a contribution. Last year we made our quota more than double the 1947 request with ease. I'd like to point out that the Red Cross lis not merely a wartime agency. It operates year in and year out, bringing relief and assistance as-sistance to any and all who need help, and the demand, (for their services is even greater now than during war years."" Membership cards and window stickers have been left at The News office, and Red Cross contributions will be accepted up until March 31, to be oredited to MUford's 1947 quota. |
