Show 16 ' ... s Family members observe birthday A numbber of Springville people were in Salt Lake City last week to attend the birthday birth-day celebration for Mrs. William Wil-liam F. (Elizabeth) Parker, a former resident of this city, who was 92 years old. The family celebrated the occasion oc-casion with a dinner at which immediate family members attended. at-tended. Mrs. Parker, a native of Switzerland, came to the United States at six years of age. After living in the east a short time, the family joined the church and came to Utah. She lived at Thistle, Soldier Summit and Springville while her husband was an engineer on the D&RG Railroad. She is active in LDS Church work and has been a Relief Society teacher more than 65 years. She keeps busy in her garden and doing all kinds of handiwork. She is especially adept at making novel items and is invited often to demonstrate dem-onstrate her work at Relief Society and other gatherings. Attending the birthday party Mrs. VV. F. (Elizabeth) Parker, Par-ker, a former resident of Springville who celebrated her 92nd birthday . recently. from Springville was a daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Lloyd (Marg) Bird, and a son, Lindsey C. Parker. Mrs. Parker (Inez) was getting get-ting ready to go to Salt Lake, when she slipped on the porch at their home and fractured her left arm. A son Elmer and wife, attended at-tended from Helper as did a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Nielson of Gardena, Calif.; a son, Fred J. and wife and a daughter, Wil-ma Wil-ma Stone and husband with whom Mrs. Parker resides in Salt Lake. Another son, Raymond, Ray-mond, resides in Tacoma, Wash. |
