Show Funeral services held here for P. E. McCarthy Funeral services for Peter E. McCarthy, 68, 732 E. 2nd No., Springville, were conducted conduc-ted Saturday at Wheeler Mortuary Mor-tuary Chapel with Bishop Waldo Wal-do Jacobsen of the Springville Tenth LDS Ward officiating. He died Wednesday May 24, 1967, at the Veteran's Hospital in Salt Lake City following a long illness. Mr. McCarthy was born Jan. 6, 1899, in Salt Lake City a son of Peter H. and Junietta Ellison Elli-son McCarthy. He married Vera Leatham Dec. 3, 1923. They were later divorced. He had lived in Salt Lake City most of his life, and had been employed as a mechanic. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include three stepchildren, step-children, William E. McCarthy and Mrs. Gien V. (Evelyn) Wortham, both of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Subert (Irene) Hoovey of Los Angeles, Calif.; brothers and sisters: Mrs. C. E. (Edith) Krause, Mrs. Louis (Margaret) Nash and Robert A. McCarthy, all of Salt Lake City: O. C. McCarthy, Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Mfiry Ann Kel'um of Sonoma, Calif.; and Mrs. John T. (Josephine) Collett of Springville'. Burial was in the Springville Spring-ville Evergreen Cemetery. |
