Brown, area supervisor for the Federal Land Bank at Berkeley, California, for his contributions con-tributions in the field of agriculture through the years. Springville man honored with special medal A singular honor came last week to a Springville man when Glenn W. Coffman was awa r d e d a commemorative medal, authorized by the President Presi-dent and by the Congress of the United States, for his outstanding out-standing contributions to agriculture. agri-culture. The medal, one of 2,000, was struck' by the U. S. Bureau of Engraving in observance of the 50th anniversary of the Federal Feder-al land banks and land bank associations established in April Ap-ril 1917 to provide farmers and ranchers with long-term real estate loans. The presentation was made by George W. Brown, area supervisor su-pervisor for the Federal Land Bank of Berkeley, at the Awards Dinner sponsored by the Federal Land Bank Association Asso-ciation of Provo. Mr. Coffman was selected for the award because of his meritorious meri-torious service to agriculture. George W. Brown, also honored hon-ored on this occasion, has served ser-ved as manager of the Provo association 24 years prior to his becoming area supervisor for the Federal Land Bank of Berkeley. |
