Show Registration, try-outs scheduled March 3J, April 7 for WBBA I The Western Boys Baseball Association of Springville will hold registration and tryouts March 31 and April 1, announces an-nounces Robert D. Osborn, WBBA field representative. Registration will be held Friday, Fri-day, March 31 at 7 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. This registration is for all boys regardless re-gardless of their team status. New players must bring their birth certificates and the $5.50 player fee. Holdover players need only bring their player fee. Saturday, April 1, tryouts will begin at 9 a.m. for all boys ages 9 through 12, who have not previously played on . a major WBBA team. If the weather is inclement prohibit-! ing tryouts, the same schedule will be applied on the following Friday and Saturday, April 7 and 8.' League presidents and their respective leagues inuiuuc. Hobble Creek, Forest Allred; Mill Creek, Bill Duncan; Sage Creek, Cal North; Spring Creek, Bud Jensen. Presidents of Mill Creek and Sage Creek announce that additional ad-ditional team managers are needed in their leagues for the coming season. Those interested in managing a team are urged to contact these presidents as soon as possible. Officers meeting A meeting of all league presidents pres-idents and their respective officers of-ficers will be held at the National Na-tional Guard Armory Wednesday, Wednes-day, March 29, at 1 p.m., to discuss the player tryouts, the WBBA annual meeting in Salt Lake City April 7 and also to formulate further plans for the WBBA world series to be held in Springville in August of this year. All presidents and officers should be in attendance. |
