Show Foreign students entertain club Officers of the Ladies Literary Liter-ary Club for the coming year, were elected at a meeting Thursday evening of last week, at the home of Manila Brown. They are as follows: Mrs. Belva Edwards, presi dent; Mrs. Carrie Gammell, vice president; Mrs. Janet Packard, s e cretary-treasurer; Mrs. Emma Jacobsen, historian; histor-ian; Mrs. Brown, program chairman. The officers were presented by Mrs. Clara Sum-sion, Sum-sion, nomination chairman. Program for the evening featured fea-tured six foreign students attending at-tending BYU, who told of their country, sang songs and presented pre-sented a native dance. They represented the Philippine Islands, Is-lands, England, Ireland, and Austria and were introduced by Mrs. Mercedes Anderson. Mrs. Merle Schreiner, president, presi-dent, conducted short business and announced the art night program, April 5. Preceding the program lunch was served by the hostess to twenty-five club members and guests, the latter including her daughter, Mrs. Wilna Allred and granddaughter, Diana A. Williams. Next meeting was announced for Wednesday evening, March 29, a change from the regular Thursday schedule, at the home of Mrs. Minnie Groesbeck. |
