The firemen's auxiliary held their monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Iris Roundy. The program was given by Mrs. Ray Hiatt and her twin daughters, daugh-ters, LaRaine and Lucille of Payson. Mrs. Hiatt read several short stories and poems, some of which she had written herself. her-self. Her daughters sang and accompanied themselves on guitars. gui-tars. Mapleton Ma-pleton now has enough clubs to require two supervisors. Doris Ann Rowberry will continue as head of one group, and Mrs. Jean Bills was introduced as the leader of the other clubs. Mrs. Hortense Harward and Mrs. Leah Huff are the supervisors super-visors from Springville. Anyone interested in joining a club is encouraged to contact one of these leaders now. The state fair has been moved ahead this fall, so 4-H workers will have less time to prepare their exhibits and must get started early. The leaders would like to remind re-mind the young people of this area that many valuable awards, scholarships and interesting inter-esting trips can be won by participating par-ticipating diligently in 4-H work; in addition to the practical prac-tical knowledge and skill they will be taught in the various clubs. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Diamond and sons Randy and Bruce, recently re-cently moved into their beautiful beauti-ful new home at 90 No. Center Cen-ter Street. They formerly lived in Sage Creek Circle in Springville. Spring-ville. Mrs. Nancy Dove is visiting in Costa Mesa, California, this week with her sister, who has a new baby girl. The baby has four brothers. Mrs. Dove went with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wiscombe of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Will Whiting had a visitor from Alaska in their home last week. Mrs Stottard attended Relief Society with Mrs. Whiting. Dr. and Mrs. Paul K. Edmunds Ed-munds had visitors from Arcadia, Arca-dia, Calif, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Stacey came to see their son, who is attending the BYU, and making his home with the Edmunds. An installation banauet was held at the Oak Crest Inn Saturday, Sat-urday, March 18, for the Jaycee Wives and their husbands. The newly elected officers are: Beverly Bev-erly Dibble, president; Kathy Hansen, vice president; Margie Hutchings, secretary; Connie Carnesecca, hold-over director; and Ha Pennington, historian. Connie Warren was chairman of the affair assisted by LuAnn Diamond and Kathy Hansen, Margie Hutchings acted as emcee. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hansen, parents of the new president, were special guests. The Firemen's Ball was held at the town hall Saturday, March 18, with Dale Whitlock's orchestra furnishing the music.
