Show Senior "Student of the Week' This week's "Senior Student of the Week" is Edwin Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Jackson of Mapleton. He is an active student participating in many school functions, being has received many honors. As a sophomore, he competed in extemporaneous ex-temporaneous speaking on state level. As a junior, he went to state in radio speaking and placed second in extemnoran- a member of the Physics Club, Persona Patriotics, National Forensics League and Thespian Club, serving as president of the latter. Edwin is active in drama and eous speaking at the Carbon Invitational. This year, he placed first in extemporaneous speaking at the Carbon Meet. He was the first SHS student to get the Double Ruby, highest high-est nwnrd o-iiron in f.v,- -t uie a,- tional Forensics League. He is currently Springville High reporter re-porter for KOVO radio. Edwin is active in LDS Church and a member of the Mapleton Third Ward. He graduated grad-uated from seminary last spring. He has earned five individual in-dividual awards and holds the office of a priest.
