Show Merchants sponsor Easter Egg Hunt, prizes The Springville Chamber of Commerce and the Jaycees have cooperated in an Easter egg hunt and special shopping promotion in the city for this weekend announces Maury Thomas, Chamber of Commerce Retail Merchant Com mittee chairman and Robert Cook, Jaycee project chairman. Both youngsters as well as regular shoppers will benefit from the promotion. The youngsters will be given the opportunity to hunt Easter candy eggs with names of various var-ious businesses in town being included in some of the eggs. These will be specially wrapped wrap-ped with the name of the store in the wrapping. These are "prize" eggs and those finding find-ing them can claim the bargain bar-gain at the listed store. Only requisite is that the slip of paper will need to be turned in at the store to claim the bargains. bar-gains. Only part of the Easter eggs will be prize ones. The others will be just candy eggs to be eaten by the finder. The egg hunt will be for kiddies up to and including 12 year olds and will be held on the campus of the high school. The hunt will be divided into two age group areas. Children up to six years old will hunt on the field west of the foot-j ball field. Those 6-12 will hunt on the football field. The Easter Eas-ter egg hunt begins Saturday at 9 a.m. Lucky prize finders in the egg hunt will have until April 1 to redeem their prize eggs in the listed stores found on another page of today's paper. Stores cooperating in the event include Penneys, IGA Discounter, Inc., Tip Top Shoe, Rex Drug, Cal-laways's, Cal-laways's, SOS Drug, Duke Jewelry, Quality Cleaners, Missionary Mis-sionary Book Store, Christen-sen's, Christen-sen's, Allen Cleaners, Woods (Western and Novelty Shop), City Drug, Norge Village, and the Sprucette Shop. Check their respective ads for the prizes to be offered the lucky contest winners. Jaycee members mem-bers will be in charge of hiding the eggs for the youngsters. |
