Show Council gives Jaycees approval for local survey of attitudes' A number of vital items were on the agenda of the city council meeting handled Monday Mon-day night at the regular meeting. Wayne Blanchard and Robert Snow, representing the Springville Spring-ville Jaycees, requested permission permis-sion to conduct a door to door community attitude survey. Included In-cluded in the 45 questions which will be asked are the following: "Is there anything you particularly like about this community ? Is there anything any-thing you particularly dislike about this community ? In your opinion what are the five most important things which need to be done to make this a better community?" The council favored the Jaycees going go-ing forward with the survey. Leon Bjarnson and Amos Dallin, representing a group of property owners in the vicinity of Seventh and Eighth East and Tenth and Eleventh South, presented a tentative plan to open up a street near 800 East to extend south and west to a proposed street. They were advised to have a licensed engineer en-gineer prepare a road dedication dedica-tion and present it to the plan- m'no linarl Councilman Leonard James announced the warranty inspection inspec-tion at the civic center would be held Friday, October 21. Councilman James, Jack Wind-ley, Wind-ley, parks supervisor; Robert Frazier, lan dscape architect and a representative of the Provo Landscape Co. will be present. Mayor Calvin Packard recommended rec-ommended the coordinating meeting consisting of the mayor, may-or, city council, department heads and city engineer, continue con-tinue to be held on the second Monday of each month at 5:00 p.m. It was approved by the council. Earl Child was named a member on the electric committee. |
